Nikon microscopes were featured in the title role on Channel 2
On February 8 Nikon microscopes were featured in the title role on Channel 2, one of Russia’s main national TV channels.
It was a popular science program called “Great Leap Forward”, and this episode was dedicated to the theme “The microscope under the microcope” – a general introduction and view of the microscope as a hi-tech equipment.
Half of the program was dedicated to optical microscopes, and Nikon was the main featured brand.
In that episode opinions were given by some of the main experts and users of microscopes, including:
- Dmitri Konovalov – Head of the pathanatomical department of Moscow’s Children’s Oncology Institute (Nikon)
- Pavel Melentev – senior scientist of the laser spectroscopy laboratory at the institute of spectroscopy (Russian Academy of Science) (Nikon)
- Dmitry Fomin – BioVitrum sales manager (Microscopy department) (Nikon)
- Mikhail Filippov – professor of Moscow’s Technical Physics Institute
- Alexei Zabolotsky – chairman of the Nanometrology department of Moscow’s Technical Physics Institute
- Dmitry Lapshin – senior scientist of the laser spectroscopy laboratory at the institute of spectroscopy (Russian Academy of Science)
