BioVitrum was a general sponsor and participant in a symposium on “New methods of cellular technologies in medicine”

The first Russian symposium on “New methods of cellular technologies in medicine” took place in Akademgorodok, Novosibirsk from September 3rd to 5th 2014. This meeting brought together leading Russian specialists from the fields of health, medicine, molecular and cellular biology to discuss the formation of a new research center on cellular biology. Two hundred and ninety participants represented regions from across Russia: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Pushchino, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod among others.

BioVitrum acted as both a sponsor to this important meeting, and presented two talks.

Olga Sidorenko, BioVitrum’s specialist on cellular technologies presented a talk titled “New Equipment in Cellular Technologies” which discussed integrated cell parameter analysis systems. These provide an automated method for measuring dynamic cell processes while maintaining optimal incubation conditions.

Anna Spirina, a specialist on molecular and cellular biology at BioVitrum, presented the competitive advantages of the IonFlux system at a round table discussion. Used to study ion channels, it combines the high quality patch-clamp method with the simplicity of a microplate reader.

At our sales booth, BioVitrum presented our newest technologies, our latest wares in molecular and cellular biology, and consumables.
