BioVitrum took part in the scientific and practical school “Modern immunohistochemistry and confocal microscopy”

On 14th of May, 2015, BioVitrum participated in the scientific and practical school “Modern immunohistochemistry and confocal microscopy” which took place at the National research center Kurchatov institute in Moscow.

Within the framework of the event were discussed the following themes:

     - Confocal microscopy basis and principles of modern confocal microscope work (Pavel Zykov, head of the Microscopy department, BioVitrum)

     - Demonstration of the latest products in ANDOR portfolio, their opportunities, advantages and applications in biological sciences: confocal spinning-disc system, structured illumination microscopy and active illumination microscopy system. Special attention was paid to Bitplane Imaris – software complex focus on 3D and 4D imaging. (Bruno Combettes, PhD, Business Development Manager EMEA, Andor Technology)

     - Main principles and features of immunohistochemistry equipment, IHC staining methods and IHC reaction stages. (Aleksander Lazutkin, senior researcher, brain stem cells laboratory of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology)

     - IHC research quality control. Principles of NordiQC control (Aleksaner Gorkov, Tissue diagnostics product manager, Roche diagnostics)

 

Also at the event there was equipment demonstration, including the only one in Russia confocal spinning disc system - Andor Revolution WD
