BioVitrum took part in the Northwest Inter-regional Scientific and Practical Conference "School of Pathomorphology in Karelia".

 

On 19 and 20 June in Petrozavodsk the Northwest Interregional Scientific and Practical Conference "School Pathomorphology in Karelia" was held, which brought together in one place forensic pathologists of Karelia, as well as their colleagues from Arkhangelsk and Leningrad regions. 
Conference participants learned new methods of laboratory morphological studies, using modern equipment and approaches to optimize forensic medical examinations and new techniques in pathological departments. Within the framework of the scientific activities, the problems of child and infant mortality, deaths from circulatory diseases, HIV and others were discussed. Lectures were given by leading Russian scientists which enriched the knowledge base of practitioners. 
BioVitrum was represented at the conference by Victor Y. Bovin, a specialist in the direction of telepathology.  He gave a presentation on the topic: "Digital pathology, telepathology as a basis: meaning of digital pathology in pathology practice".
BioVitrum's stand demonstrated the capabilities of imaging systems for telepathology - touchpad monitor features that allowed viewing images in 3D, at high magnification and good quality, and easy to use. Especially for this event color images were prepared of a new myocardial infarction. 
Also presented were new consumable kits "HBFP" and "MSB", Histomix's "new formula" hematoxylin Regaud, kriosprey, and all participants were provided probes stains of the myocardium. 
The event was organized by the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Republic of Karelia, the Republic of Karelia "Bureau forensics" and the Information Agency "Open Forum."
