Biovitrum takes part in the IV International symposium "Actual problems of Biophotonics"

The event took place form July 21 to July 27, 2013 onboard the George Zhukov motor ship.  The symposium's purpose was to provide a platform for biologists, physicists, neurologists and other experts in order to discuss the current state of research, prospects of developing biophotonic methods, and to present trends of future research in this area.

 

More than 200 people took part in this symposium from 22 countries.  Therefore English was a working language.  Scientists of various specialties participated: physics, chemists, biologists, physicians.  The symposium united three parallel thematic conferences: Optical Bioimaging, Nanobiophotonics, Neurobiophotonics, and four seminars: Advanced Laser Applications in Biomedicine, Clinical Biophotonics, Biophotonics in Stem Cell Research and Developmental Biology, Next Generation Biophotonics for Biology, Pharmacology, and Medicine (SkTech Project).  During the program a presentation was given by Catherine Kitts, Nikon Instruments Europe BV product specialist.

 

The organizers of the symposium were: Institute of Applied Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Nizhny Novgorod state university, Nizhny Novgorod state medical academy, GIKOM company, and Kvantron Ltd. — NN.  Biovitrum was glad to act as a partner at such a significant event in global and Russian science.
