BioVitrum participated in the XVII Russian Symposium on the "Structure and function of the cell nucleus"

      The 17th All-Russian Symposium on the “Structure and function of the cell nucleus” took place in St. Petersburg from October 28th to 30th, 2014. Over the course of three days, the Institute of Cytology brought together specialists in cell biology and immunology from around Russia, as well as experts from France, the Ukraine and the USA. This created an excellent platform for participants to exchange experiences and broaden their knowledge in matters of innovation and discovery.

 Major topics discussed at the symposium included:

• DNA replication and repair, chromatin dynamics, structure of chromosomes and epigenetic regulation of gene expression;

• Spatial organization and regulation of transcription;

• Functions of non-coding genomic elements and non-coding RNAs;

• Structure, function and spatial organization of extrachromosomal nuclear domains;

• Nuclear-cytoplasmic export;

• Structure and function of nuclear lamina;

• Features of lower eukaryote nuclei.

BioVitrum presented modern solutions for cell technologies at the symposium.

Olga Sidorenko, a specialist of cell technologies at BioVitrum, presented a talk on modern equipment, consumables and reagents which allow users to bring cellular investigations to new levels of efficiency through automation. At BioVitrum’s booth, participants could receive a detailed consultation on laboratory equipment and cutting edge technologies, specialized and laboratory plastics used in cellular and molecular applications, and microscopy products.
