BioVitrum participated in the VIII All-Russian scientific and practical conference with international participation "Molecular Diagnostics 2014"
From 18 to 20 March 2014 in Moscow the VIII All-Russian scientific and practical conference with international participation "Molecular Diagnostics 2014" took place.
The conference was organized by the National Scientific and Infectious Diseases Society of the Federal State Institute of Science and the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology.
The event was attended by more than 2,000 participants, representing Russia, Germany, Australia, the Netherlands, USA, Japan, France, Finland, Ukraine and others.
For three days in 5 halls of the "Cosmos" hotel 26 sections were held with reports and discussions on such issues as:
molecular techniques in the diagnosis of infectious diseases and oncology;
advanced features and new directions of molecular biology and genetic engineering in diagnosis;
standardization of laboratory tests;
algorithms using modern laboratory techniques and diagnostic technologies in clinical practice in forensic medicine and criminology;
infectious diseases of animals and birds, genetic analysis of animal feed and food.
The conference proceedings will be published, including more than 950 works by 29 participants.
BioVitrum actively participated in the conference program. On the first day of the event BioVitrum held their own satellite symposium in which NanoString Technologies representative Jim White PhD gave the report "NanoString Technology- the path to the clinic for molecular biomarkers." The symposium revealed the principles and opportunities of digital analysis of nucleic acids by NanoString barcoding.
An exhibition was also held at the conference in which BioVitru presented to visitors their products for molecular diagnostics and microbiology: reagents for the detection of mutations associated with cancer and the diagnosis of infectious diseases and pharmacogenetic studies from leading suppliers - NanoString, Luminex, EntroGen.
