BioVitrum participated in the twenty third meeting of the Diagnostic Medical Association

The twenty third meeting of the Diagnostic Medical Association “DMA” took place in Irkutsk between August 29th and 30th, 2014. In 2007, the Irkutsk diagnostic center was the first regional government office in Russia which had obtained an international certificate in management quality standards. The conference marked the 15th anniversary of its founding.

Over the course of two days, attendees discussed the quality and accessibility of health care, accomplishments of regional diagnostic centers for the previous year and ongoing cooperation with medical universities. Specialists discussed their experience in integrating modern diagnostic techniques and quality standards at the federal level.

BioVitrum congratulated the Irkutsk diagnostic center with its fifteenth anniversary, and participated in opening ceremonies. Our representatives presented the LEAN system, which promotes the modernization and simplification of morphologoical pathology offices. Marina Kolesova, head of the sales division of BioVitrum Siberia, presented a talk titled “The LEAN approach in morphological pathology: continuous improvements in histological analysis.”

Attendees were given a tour of the medical center, told about the organization of the diagnostic facilities, and shown equipment unique to the Irkutsk diagnostic center. In 2014, the center was completely retooled with new diagnostic equipment and is now capable of performing 1000 different analyses, with almost a third unavailable elsewhere in the region.
