The conference "Molecular Oncology: results and prospects" took place on 16 – 18 of December, 2015 in Moscow, with the support of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research. 

Among the participants there were the leading specialists, candidates and doctors of medical and biological sciences: oncology, virology, cell biology, immunology, endocrinology, genetics and other biomedical field. This scientific event gathered specialists from the whole Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Petrozavodsk Kazan, Sochi, Tomsk, and others.) and Europe (Poland, France and Sweden).

The conference included plenary lectures, oral presentations and poster presentations.

The main issues the conference:

• new data on genomics and epigenomics tumors and their use in the tumors diagnosis and treatment;
• new approaches for the viruses identification and their role in the tumors pathogenesis;
• role of carcinogens in the epigenetic regulation of tumor growth;
• tumors biology and metastasis, the role of the cellular microenvironment;
• new methods and approaches in the tumors molecular diagnosis;
• drug and hormone resistant tumors, new approaches to diagnosis and ways to overcome;
• molecular approaches in tumor immunology.
