The Engelhardt Institute of Molecular Biology (Russian Academy of Sciences) hosted an international conference titled “Molecular mechanisms of growth and progression of malignant neoplasms” on December 11^th and 12^th, 2014 in honor of its 55^th anniversary.

 Main topics included:

• The growth and progression of malignant neoplasms - molecular mechanisms and modern research methods
• Molecular diagnosis of malignant diseases

On its booth BioVitrum showcased modern equipment and reagents for molecular and cellular biology.

Sergei Tolmachev, BioVitrum’s lead product development specialist, presented a talk titled “Translational research from experiments to clinical practice”, which focused on the nCounter digital nucleic acid analysis system.
