On the 6^th of October. 2016 on the basis of the Perm Regional Center for Prevention and Control of AIDS and Infectious Diseases was held bacteriologists’ laboratory council. The goal theme was the ethology of bacterial pneumonia in the Perm region.

 

The bacterial pneumonia problem is extremely relevant today. The lethal outcome by this disease has reached 9% (with nosocomial form - 20% in elderly patients - 30%, in complicated cases - up to 50%).

 

According to the State Health Ministry statistics, children deaths from pneumonia in Russia in 2001 amounted to 116 ± 3 per 100 000.

 

For participation in the council were invited about 30 experts, representatives of the 20 hospitals in Perm and the Perm region. At the event were discussed the pathogens and micro-organisms that are the most frequent cause of pneumonia and antibiotic resistance.
