On June 2nd BioVitrum's Microbiology department organized a seminar for local bacteriologists at its St. Petersburg headquarters. The presentations and demonstrations took place at BioVitrum's own facilities and showroom. The participants included:

1) Research institute of Traumatology n.a. Vreden, bacteriologist (our VIP customer)

2) Research institute of Mycology n.a. Kashkin, head of the lab

3) Regional St. Petersburg hospital, 2 bacteriologists

4) City hospital №26, bacteriologist

5) City dermato-venerologic dispensary, head of the lab.

6) City children's hospital №5, bacteriologist

The number of participants was rather small so that we could concentrate fully on each person. We had a lot of time to talk with each bacteriologist and gather interest from them. Participants spent the day at BioVitrum's office and were treated to food and refreshments. We plan to organize such seminars for the rest of the microbiologists of St. Petersburg and other cities. We think this strategy of concentrating on smaller groups of specialists will allow us to build stronger relationships with important individuals and gain loyal clients.

During the seminar we demonstrated our Microbiology portfolio of products from Oxoid, i2a, and AES. We gave updated marketing materials to all participants and everybody completed a questionnaire for us to gather information and interest. As well we announced the Conference in St. Petersburg , 22-23 June, during which an Oxoid specialist will make a presentation about nosocomial infections. There will also be a demo-room with Oxoid products and Nikon microscopes at this conference.
