BioVitrum Hosts Workshop at Research Institute of Tokology and Pediatrics

BioVitrum's Microbiology department recently organized a workshop in Rostov-on-Don at the Research Institute of Tokology and Pediatrics. The event took place on May 25. We gathered 15 bacteriologists from some of the main diagnostic centers, regional and city hospitals, 2 private clinics, and the Anti-plague Research Institute of the Rostov region.

Participants of this workshop came from reference labs and institutions which are conducting an important vibrio-cholera study. We successfully negotiated to include Oxoid samples into this study. The results of this study will be given by the end of the year and will be published in the main scientific journals. Oxoid will be named in this study and if it’s successful it will help us to promote this methods and media using Oxoid.

There were two parts to this workshop: Theoretical and Practical. In the theoretical part Marina Averchenko (BioVitrum Microbiology Specialist) made a presentation which demonstrated our Microbiology portfolio of Oxoid, AES, and i2a products. As well we demonstrated Astell autoclaves.
In the practical part of the workshop demonstrations were made of our Microbiology portfolio and participants were especially able to participate using chromogenic culture media and MICE strips. We collected questionnaires from all the participants and created a lot of interest for the products we showed.
