BioVitrum Hosts Large Seminar with Perm Regional Society of Pathologists and Histologists

BioVitrum staff recently took part in a large seminar with the Perm regional society of pathologists and histologists. The event took place on April 26th, 2011 at the Perm Federal Medical Academy of E.A.Wagner in the pathomorphology department. 42 pathomorphologists representing many different regions of the Perm district attended the seminar.

There are many medical centers of federal importance in the Perm region and a lot of the equipment used is old and outdated. As well in many of these centers there are no pathoanatomical departments. There is big potential for BioVitrum, with the help of our partners, to re-equip these centers and provide them with modern pathomorphology products.

Presentations and Demonstrations

Andrei Shestakov (BioVitrum Head of Sales) made a presentation covering the different branches of complex pathoanatomical equipment. Yana Olga Yulia-Poykelus (BioVitrum Consumables Specialist) gave a presentation which demonstrated BioVitrum's own manufacturing of consumables (including glasses co-produced by "CitoTest"). Also she announced our tissue-preserving product "Histofor" and systems of a damp archiving. As well she demonstrated consumables from "Bio-Optica", "Sakura", "Menzel", and "Biohit".

In order to make the presentations more effective and get the participants more involved BioVitrum took the following actions:

Two demonstration tables were laid out with products according to the corresponding parts of the presentations: one of them for BioVitrum manufacturing and the other one for foreign manufacturers. All consumables were laid out in an easy and clear manner for the participants to view.

Packages were distributed to the participants which consisted of a big variety of polygraphic information and product samples from BioVitrum and our partners.

Results

The seminar took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. At the end there was a question and answer session for the participants and they expressed sincere interest in the products in both modern manufacturing and storage techniques. We believe this event was very successful and will provide BioVitrum and our partners with great opportunities to supply much needed pathomorphology consumables and related equipment. We look forward to participating in more events of these kinds and as always we appreciate the cooperation of our partners.
