At the conference reports were given on the achievements of global and Russian science in the diagnosis and effective use of new methods and treatment for liver transplantation. Participants discussed the challenges faced by each expert who had been involved in saving a child's life.

The event program was very intensive, and presentations were made by Russian and foreign experts. Foreign experts included prof. Mark Davenport and prof. Marian Malone (UK), and prof. Dieter Harms (Germany). The program of scientific reports were divided into the following sections:

- Biliary atresia;

- Hereditary liver disease in children;

- Cystic liver disease;

- Liver tumors in children

The conference has become an international scientific forum where doctors have been able to exchange experiences, discuss current scientific solutions and practical possibilities in the treatment of pathological changes in the liver in children. BioVitrum was a co-organizer of the conference and we thank the Head of the Pathology Department of D.V. Rogozhin for the opportunity to participate in such an interesting and significant event.
