BioVitrum attends the 75th anniversary ceremony of the White Sea Biological Station of Moscow State University

On March 1 the 75th anniversary ceremony of the White Sea Biological Station took place.  

 

The rector of Moscow State University, Victor Sadovnichii, arrived to congratulate the station on this anniversary.  He noted that the biological station is one of the largest parts of Moscow University and announced the unusual and valuable gift from the rectorate:  a ship for the biological station.  The ceremony was conducted by the Dean of the biological department, Mikhail Kirpichnikov, and he also expressed many warm, friendly words in the address to the biological station, which, in his opinion, has become one of the most advanced subunits of the department. 

 

Vladimir Tsimberg, Director of Biovitrum, one of the leading Russian suppliers of medical and laboratory equipment, was also present at this ceremony.  BioVitrum managed the installation of confocal microscope systems at the biological station and supported the organization of this anniversary conference.  He also presented the station with a very valuable gift and expressed his congratulations. “Congratulations to the White Sea biological station on this special anniversary.  I want to say that you are on the forward edge of science and innovation, and our task is to help you.  To be partnered with Moscow State University is a great honor for us, and a sign of our high level, maturity, and quality. Your success is our success because our work has been a part of it.   And in order to help further this success, we present to you 10 microscopy-class Nikon microscopes.”  This statement was met by glad applause.  

 

 At the end of the congratulatory part of the evening the Director of the biological station, Alexander Tsetlin, thanked all the participants for the warm congratulations.
