Roche and BioVitrum join their efforts in Roche Tissue Diagnostics (former Ventana trademark) products promotion in Russia.

Roche Group through Roche-Moscow, Roche Corporate Headquarters and European branch of Roche Tissue Diagnostics (formerVentana Medical Systems) have signed long-term agreement with BioVitrum delegating exclusive rights for Roche Tissue Diagnostics products sales and marketing in Russia to BioVitrum.

Signing this contract means that new technology of immunohistochemistry and insitu hybridization is entering Russian market - automated immunohistochemistry stainers well known under Ventana trademark. Most of IHC research are done with Ventana autostainers in the market of the USA. Leading position of Ventana Medical in automation of IHC and ISH together with prospective pipeline of products of this company was the reason of its acquisition by Roche Group in 2008.

We feel confident that joint work of Roche Tissue Diagnostics, other business units of Roche Group and BioVitrum will be successful in bringing new prospective technologies of IHS and ISH in Russian pathology laboratories, increasing quality of oncodiagnostics services in Russian medical practices.
