BioVitrum took part in the scientific-practical conference "The kidney tumors in pediatric practice. Multidisciplinary approach (diagnosis, strategy, prognosis)"

 

On the 8th and 9th of September 2016 in St. Petersburg was hosted the 510th meeting of the Cancer Research community. The goal theme of this meeting was the kidney tumors in pediatric practice. Multidisciplinary approach (diagnosis, strategy, prognosis). 

 

 

 

The organizer of the scientific-practical conference was FGBI "Oncology Institute named after N.N. Petrov" Russian Ministry of Health - one of the largest specialized diagnostic and treatment centers in Russia, the leading scientific institution of Cancer in the North-West Federal District. The event was attended by about 100 experts.

BioVitrum took an active part in the conference. On the BioVitrum’s booth the participants were able to obtain detailed information about modern solutions in the histological and immunohistochemical diagnosis. BioVitrum’s specialists presented comprehensive proposals for histological laboratory: from the reagents and consumables to complete automation of all processes.

 

Within the event was presented a Russian development of "Med IT" (Russia) – Multi-functional laboratory information system, for automation the pathology laboratory work. LabForce allows saving and organizing all the necessary information in a single database, as well as providing support for the workers of laboratory processes.

  

The participants of the conference were able to study collectively complex clinical cases of renal tumors using hardware and software HistoVeiwer. This innovative development of BioVitrum allows to view and analyze the scanned histological material in high resolution on the large touch screen.

At the conference was presented the film — a detailed macroscopic description during postmortem Wilms tumor examination. The research was conducted by Anna Artemieva, Head of Pathology Department of FGBI "Oncology Institute named after N.N. Petrov" Russian Ministry of Health. During macroexamination were used the reagents and stains of BioVitrum. The macro recording was also made using ePath — multi-user digital station for macroscopic sectional research and surgery materials.
