BioVitrum Presented Its Products at the All-Russian Workshop Conference Problematic Issues of Forensic Medical Examination Procedure

November 5-6, 2009, Moscow: BioVitrum Company came out successfully at the All-Russian Workshop Conference Problematic Issues of Forensic Medical Examination Procedure in Moscow Forensic Medical Examination Bureau.

The event was organized by the Russian Center of Forensic Medical Examination under the auspices of the Department for Medical Relief and Health Care Development, and the Department for Science, Education and HR Policy of Minzdravsozrazvitiye of Russia.

The Conference has been visited by the heads of Minzdravsozrazvitiye of Russia, Roszrdavnadzor, Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, Investigative Committee at the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation, Investigative Committee of the MVD of Russia, by the heads of state forensic medical agencies of Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, MVD of Russia, RF Ministry of Defense, FSS of Russia, FDCS of Russia, FCS of Russia, as well as scientists and experts of State Forensic Expert Institutions and State Educational Institutions of Higher Professional Training and Further Professional Education from the constituents of the Russian Federation.

The following issues have been discussed at the Conference:

· Topical and legal issues of the state forensic medical examination activity

· Diagnostics issues of cause of death and prescription of death coming in the examination practice

· Current optimization of cooperation between state medical forensic examination agencies and law-enforcement agencies

· Topical issues of hi-tech laboratory and instrumental examination procedure

· Difficulties and perspectives of identification forensic examination development

Business program of the event included centralized visit of the laboratories under the guidance of RCFME employees. The participants had a look at the advanced laboratory equipment and became aware of the Center operation. BioVitrum specialists demonstrated operation of histological equipment delivered under the center integrated equipping project. There was an opportunity to familiarize with and appraise the operation of Vacuum Infiltration Processor Sakura Tissue-Tek® VIPтм 5 Junior, contemporaryrotational microtomes. Tissue embedding console system Sakura Tissue-Tek® TEC™ 5 impressed visitors a lot by its fully programmable performance, automatic start up/shut down, precise temperature control of all the areas. Image quality and ergonomics of Nikon 50i and E200 microscopes have not gone unnoticed as well.


The Mourning Hall of the Center was the place to exhibit equipment by Hygeco (France), one of the leading suppliers to the funeral industry and pathology. As a part of the Conference there was an exhibition of modern equipment for Forensic Medical Examination laboratories under the title Forensic Medical Examination. Criminalistics.
